Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.
Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
Considering 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are scarce.
Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might look mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the team knows exactly where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose death started the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his own means, invading the secret base, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.
The traitor then settled his debts and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each member has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, wants retribution.
- The adventurer knows Timmony and advises that it is a hostile environment.
- The warrior and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
- However, their status as important members in the influential clan could help the party access areas they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that control the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and The healer defied the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This means them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the antagonist.
